C'mon Baby Light My Fire

There's a big difference between a good candle and a bad candle. But what makes a good candle good?

1.) A clean wax (any kind is fine, but most are made of beeswax)
2.) A good-burning lead
3.) A heat-proof container
4.) pure, undiluted fragrance oil

Quality candles are worth the price you pay for them. Here are some good ones to check out:

Diptyque Candles, Paris
Retails for $28/$60 depending on the size
They use all natural ingredients for their scent, and have some unique flavors. My fave is Pomander which is kind of spicey and sweet at the same time.

Gold Canyon Candles, Arizona
Retails for approx. $30
The wick lasts forever, and the smells make me hungry.

Le Labo Candles, New York
Retails for approx. $70
The candles come in a thick and heavy glass that has a label with your address on it, so after your candle has finished burning you can use it as a jar to store things or for decoration. Perfect as a gift!
