I dieeee for cupcakes! A new place that sells ONLY cupcakes just opened up within walking distance of my house (and if you walk there you really can get however many you want, right?). "Cupid's Cupcakes" it is very appropriately called, since I know I will fall in love with this store as soon as i set my little foot in there...
As soon as Friday hits and this little detox is done, you know where I'll be.

A Healthy Kick
As a lot of you probably know, I've been annoying as shit about eating healthy lately... I'm obsessed with it!! I'm still in the beginning stages of a detox cleanse (which I haven't perfectly followed, but I'm trying!) and have decided to share.
My day goes something along these lines.
Morning:
-glass of water
-green tea
-vitamins (i do a multi-vitamin and a spoon of omega 3 oil)
-smoothie: apple, banana, berries (any kind), kiwi, orange, water, and any supplements you wish to add.
Lunch:
-glass of water
-green tea
-salad (my fave is asian broccolli with seaseame seed dressing and almonds. yum!)
-another smoothie if you're still hungry
Dinner:
-glass of water
-green tea
-fresh soup: can of diced tomatoes, cabbage, onion, carrots, cauliflower, water, salt and pepper... blend together and heat up!
Before bed:
-glass of water
-caffeine free tea
Snacks:
-more water and green tea!
-fruits, veggies, beans, or nuts.
This is a pretty easy diet to follow as long as ppl around you aren't BBQ'ing and eating amazing foods... try it for 3 days and if you can, do it for up to a week! I'm on my third day, but I have been cheating a little bit. My goal is to continue until Friday...
Wish me luck!!

Cant Wait To Cook
Cooking has become quite a passion of mine since living in France. Mostly because I am travelling and eating out a lot, so when I want a "home-cooked meal" I have to prepare it myself.
What used to be a tedious task has now become a very fun and exciting hobby.
And guess what? Gwyneth Paltrow has just released a cook book! I am so excited about this, and will picking up a copy as soon as it comes out.
I spend quite a bit of my spare time on her website, www.goop.com, where she features posts about cooking (and everything else!), so to have a hard copy of her nutrition and health advice will be great.
For those of you guys who haven't quite gotten into cooking yet, I very much recommend it. Start by dedicating one day (Sunday's are a good day) to preparing a healthy and delicious meal for you and a friend. Look up new things to try online, and take control over what is going into your body.
Or pick up a copy of this book for inspiration. Ahhh, how I love Gwyneth!
