"It's not that I'm rebelling. I'm just trying to find another way"
- Edie Sedgwick
An american model, actress and fashion icon, perhaps most famous for her connection to Andy Warhol, and her boyfriend Bob Dylan. The young beauty struggled with mental illness her entire life, and in became addicted to drugs and alcohol, eventually leading to her young death. She's someone who fascinates me, and I highly recommend people take the time to learn her story.
In 2006, the movie "Factory Girl" was released, headlining Sienna Miller, Guy Pearce and Hayden Christensen. It was featured around the last few years of her life, as well as her weird relationship and fall out with famous painter Andy Warhol. A great watch!

Jewelry Earphones??
Leave it to someone to find a way to make earphones chic. A company in Asia has now created these earphones made of gold and silver, which are simply placed in the ear with no cord! These bad boys have chains and wicked designs, and I'm sure they will be popular (and expensive) in North America soon.
Move over Dre!
side note: I don't like this chicks ear, I wish they used a different model.

Michael Kors Hamilton Tote
I recently purchased this tote as my new "work" bag. The structured-ness make's it seem professional, while still allowing enough room for everything I could possibly need to carry.
The design is chic, sharp, and very business-appropriate. I would HIGHLY recommend this bag to anyone who is looking for a classic purse to bring to the office.
Here are some suggestions of "business-appropriate" things to make sure you carry in the bag:
-Moleskine Agenda (see above blog)
-pens, duh. and maybe some highliters if you really want to be taken seriously.
-cell phone
-note pad
-lipstick (yes lipstick is corporate. It makes any outfit seem more office-ready). Wear it.
I got the black one, because black means business.
Michael Kors, $398

"Hmmmm" Heels
Israeli shoe designer Kobi Levi takes fashion to ... interesting ... heights with his new heel designs. I'm kind of feeling them!!
Karen Walker Sunglasses
Sunglasses can totally change an outfit. They can also hide your face which, lets face it, can be ideal in some situations. And of course, they protect your eyes from the sun's harmful (yet wonderful) rays.
I recently stumbled upon Karen Walker sunglasses: the perfect mix of vintage downtown chic and Australian surf style. These sunglasses are exactly how I like mine to be. BIG, unique, and edgy.
Grab a pair today at shopbop.com
My fave is the 3rd picture (Karen Walker Number One)!!!
From right to left ($180 each): Perfect Day, Deep Freeze, Number One.

Totally Toms
I'm in love with Toms new crochet style shoes! Considering that with every purchase, Toms donates one pair of shoes to children in need, I must pick up a pair of these babies!
A steal for only $70!

Shabby Chic
Since I will soon be moving into my own place, I have been spending a lot of time thinking about the important stuff.... like how I want to decorate it!
I have finally chosen a theme: SHABBY CHIC!
I am oh so obsessed with this style of interior decorating. It is simple, feminine, soft and clean. A lot of the furniture is distressed to look vintage and antique. It gives new purchases that comfortable "lived-in" feeling. And it fits with my fave color white! (Side note: for those who say "white is a shade, not a color"....fuck off)
From now until I get my own place I will be on the look out for furniture and accessories that fit into this theme. I cannot wait to start!!

Rain, Rain, Won't You Stay?

As shown in order:
Black Diamante Pagoda Parasol by Chantal Thomass, $140
Guy De Jean Black CanCan Parasol, $140
Tulle Drape by Chantal Thomass, $200
With some cute rain attire, a little shower can do no harm!
While it may be snowing in Canadaland, the only precipitation we are getting over here is rain. So grab your Hunters and a cute umbrella, its gunna pour baby.
The Tulle Drape umbrella is, in my opinion, one of the best thing's I've ever seen. But it's got some good competition from MKO over there.
But to each their own....

Oh Mrs. Beckham, How I Envy Thee.

Victoria Beckham.
She's hard not to love, but even if you don't, there's no denying the girls got mad style. And a beautiful husband.
Her Spring 2011 Collection at NYFW showed bright colors, fierce makeup, and playful cuts, zippers and accessories. Not to mention her handbags which are stunningly perfect.
I am counting down the minutes until it's warm enough for dresses and fun colors. 60's Andy Warhol inspiration all the way!
