The Art of a Sandwich
If you love sandwiches as much as I do (you don't, its not possible) then you MUST MUST MUST go to Prets sandwich shop in London (there's also one on the States and Tokyo). They literally perfect the art that is sandwhich making.

Not only is it the perfect day to rest and relax, I also use Sunday as the day I can eat whatever I want, watch an old movie, and go for a long walk!

Earth Hour
Today is March 26, which means EARTH HOUR (its also my dads birthday - Happy Birthday xo)
So today at 8:30 pm, turn off your lights and do your part to help save energy and, in turn, our earth.
I know its annoying, but it's only one hour out of an entire year!! so DO IT.
Tea Time!
I've been on such a coffee binge lately that I feel as though I've neglected one of my best friends: Tea.
I'm literally obsessed with tea - the taste, the fact that you can drink it hot or cold, and the health benefits.
Right now, I'm currently sipping on a big cup of "Kusmi Detox Tea" - basically a mixture of green tea, mate, and lemongrass. Not only does it taste delicious, but green tea in general is perfect for increasing your metabolism and cleansing your body.
Don't have time to make tea? Throw the tea bag it in a large water bottle (I do a 1.5 litre) for about an hour and drink up!!

I literally die when he shows some of his creations - so crazy and so perfect. I was sooo lucky when my aunt gave me my first pair of Louboutin's about a year ago. Ever since then, I have schemed ways that I can add to my collection. My next pair? Either the classic black or nude pumps.

Gweneth Paltrow is one of my Hollywood icons. I think she is absolutely stunning, and the fact that she is married to Chris Martin doesn't hurt either. When she named her daughter Apple she scored even more points, which I didn't think was possible.
While I don't normally follow too blogs, I am always checking out her website. It is filled with great health, cooking and fashion tips, and is pretty interesting.

Do You Agree?
After looking at this photo for a while, I have a hard time agreeing with it. While I would love to think that's what a man's ideal is, I'm not sure that men have such a realistic expectation of beauty. If they do, then it's sad that beauty magazines are only tricking women to think a super skinny body is normal, or achievable.

Broccoli Stems
I recently came across an article stating that the majority of the nutrients are found in the broccoli stem! I had never thought to eat this part, and instead, always threw it in the compost or garbage.
Now, IM BEGGING YOU, try the stem! It's actually become my favorite part. It's crunchy and sweet and delicious.

Spring Fruit!
With summer just around the corner, our meals are about to dramatically change. No more heavy creamy foods that we ate in the winter (or less, at least)... now its time for fresh fruits and veggies, salads and BBQ's.
I LOVE SUMMER FOOD!
Today, I had my first Kiwi of the year and it tasted unreal. I forgot how much I love these little green snacks. Cut them in half and spoon them out - perfect for on the go!!
No Candy For You!T
This is exactly what is going on in my mouth right now.
Any time I see something sugary and sweet, I am immediately drawn to it. My mouth wants it SO badly.
But, seeing as its bathing suit weather soon (here much sooner than in Canada...ha ha ha) I am trying my best to resist.
Which is hard, and somewhat ironic, because I usually reward myself for good behavior with sweets...

Continuing my "Euro-trip", this time I'm off to London for 3 nights, and then Dublin for ST PATTYS DAY. That has been on my bucket list for so long, I'm so stoked that I'm able to cross it off this thursday.

I Need This Doctor
This music video literally blew my mind.
It shows clips from early in Dr. Dre's life, with his wife and children. I didn't know until this music video that Dre's son had passed a way a few years ago. So sad. I guess he was thankful for the lack of media coverage though.

40 Days and 40 Nights
Well 46 actually.
For the first time in YEARS I'm going to try to practice Lent this year. For those of you who don't know, Lent is a holiday celebrated by the Catholic Church (something I don't particuarly follow) where you have to give up something you desire for 40 days.
Regardless of the religious aspect, I like (slash HATE) the idea of this. It's time for me to show a little self restraint and control in some aspects, and what better way than for this.
So what am I giving up?
Chocolate. Chocolate is literally my weakness and best friend. I love it so so so much.
This is going to be the hardest thing I've done in a long time......
Wish me luck!! I'll need it.
